I've always had a deep love for dogs and wanted to create something different from the typical boarding facility. Duke's was born from a simple idea: dogs deserve a home, not a cage. By keeping our pack small, I get to know every dog personally — their quirks, their favorite spots to nap, what makes them tick. My goal is for every pup to feel safe, comfortable, and excited to come back. Running Duke's with Ivan and the dogs is the best job I've ever had. 🐾

Hi, I'm Ivan.
I'm Alexander's fiancé and Co-Founder of Duke's. I help run the day-to-day — from pickups and drop-offs to making sure every dog gets out for fresh air and play. I love getting to know each pup's personality, and there's nothing better than being greeted by a yard full of wagging tails. We built Duke's together because we believe every dog deserves to feel like part of the family — and around here, they really are.

Meet Duke.
Duke is the reason all of this exists. He's our big, lovable black Goldador — equal parts goofball and gentleman. When we brought Duke home, we knew we wanted to give him a life full of friends, play, and love. That's what inspired us to start a daycare where every dog gets that same kind of experience. Duke is the official greeter, the napping ambassador, and the soul of the whole operation. Every pup who comes to Duke's gets welcomed by him first. 🐾

The philosophy
Why small is better.
Every decision at Duke's comes back to one thing — your dog getting real care from real people.
Cage-free, always.
Dogs roam a real home and yard all day. No cages, no crates, no kennels — ever. They nap on furniture, play in the yard, and rest wherever they're comfortable.
Small on purpose.
The pack stays at 10–12 dogs maximum. Not because we can't take more — because smaller groups mean better supervision, less stress, and a dog that actually comes home tired instead of anxious.
Same faces, every day.
We're here every day — both of us. No rotating staff, no strangers. Your dog sees the same faces, builds real trust, and gets the kind of attention that's impossible in a 60-dog facility.
Safety & compatibility
Not every dog is
the right fit.
And that's okay. Every new dog starts with a free meet & greet so we can make sure it's a calm, safe match before anything else.
The meet & greet
Every new dog comes in before their first day — no exceptions. We introduce them slowly, watch how they interact with the group, and only move forward if it feels right for everyone. It's free and there's no commitment.
Vaccines required
All dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella before their first day. It keeps the whole pack healthy and is a hard requirement — no exceptions.
Temperament over breed
We don't discriminate by breed, size, or whether your dog is intact. What we care about is temperament — that your dog can share space calmly, socialize safely, and have a good day alongside the group.
Photo updates all day
You'll get photos and videos by text throughout the day. It's not a bonus — it's part of how we do things. You should always know how your dog is doing.
